Aerial Tours

Everything looks better from the air.

Aerial tours are a one-of-a-kind experience you and your friends will never forget! We currently offer four different tours. Our airplane is a 1957 Piper Pacer fabric-covered tailwheel airplane. It has four seats (including the pilot), and not much room for baggage. There's also not a whole lot of leg room in the back two seats.

Prices are for the pilot and the airplane, so additional passengers don't add any cost! All passengers and the pilot will be able to communicate through headsets on the aircraft intercom system. If you ask nicely . . . the pilot MAY let the front-seat passenger fly, for a bit . . . .

Add up your weights! Total weight of all passengers, clothes, baggage and equipment you bring can't exceed 400 lbs. (essentially two normal-sized adults, or one adult and two kids).

"Sawtooth Wilderness Ultimate Tour"

Tour A: Sawtooth Wilderness Ultimate Tour: $899.99

See the Sawtooth Mountains from a perspective most people will never experience. We will do some river canyon flying, some "proximity flying" next to snow-covered mountain ridges, and some low flight over mountain lakes. We'll cover a total of over 250 nautical miles in our circuit out to Stanley Airport and back. We will start by following Boise River's Middle Fork all the way to its origins in the Sawtooths, then we'll turn north and land for lunch at Stanley. After checking out the fine dining at the High Country Inn (a 1/4 mile walk from the airport), we'll head northwest towards Cascade, and return south along the Payette River. Weight limit may be less than 400 lbs. if weather is abnormally hot. Total flight time: 1.5 hours to Stanley, 2.0 hour lunch break at Stanley, 1.5 hour return flight.

"Low and Slow Over the Snake River"

Tour B: Snake River: $539.99

Experience the thrill of flying just above the water. The relative flatness of the terrain on this tour allows us to get low and slow over the river. We'll head downstream (north) on the Snake River up to Weiser, then return, taking a shortcut to follow the Boise River for about 20 miles on the way back. Total flight time: 2.0 hours.

"The Downtown-Lucky Loop"

Tour C: The Downtown-Lucky Loop: $299.99

From Caldwell Airport, it's a short 15-minute flight to downtown Boise. We'll do some slow circles 1,000 feet above downtown, From there, another 5 minutes will take us to Lucky Peak Reservoir. We'll spend a few minutes waving at the boaters, then return low over the river back to Caldwell. Total flight time: 1.2 hours.

"Boise City Lights"

Tour D: Boise City Lights (nighttime): $349.99

Cool night air and sparkling city lights! See Treasure Valley and downtown Boise lights from above. Night flights generally have less turbulence than day flights, too. Total flight time: 1.0 hours.

"Distant Lands in Sight!"

Tour X: We fly, you decide where! $249.99 per flight hour

We are at your disposal. Tell us where to go, and one of our professional pilots will fly you there! Our Piper Pacer must stop for fuel every 3.0 flight hours. Cruising speed is 105 knots true airspeed.
